Now, I understand this game is ''different'' if I could put this way (am christian) and thus touches a touchy subject religion/atheism - is at the crossroad (because gamers are both atheists (mostly) but also of various religions, like christians and this game is About the Christ and playing him in FPS point-of-view). There is lots of attention to details with that middle eastern feeling (greek/roman-like pillars, plants, pots, hemisphere-top of doors, tables/food (the table were the disciples would eat with him)). Please read other reviews for more information on the experience. It is an incredible reconstruction of the city, very faithful or if not entirely faithful, (no matter), it definitely has lots of quality and historical feeling to it that makes it ancient/antiquity times around there. We are all walking different types of walks in our lives, different experiences and up bringings. My views may be different than yours, or theirs, and that is understandable. I'm not a typical christian, but I still believe in Christ leading the people to better hearts and souls. I am a christian, I am a believer in Jesus being someone who may have been called upon by a higher force (God) to make things better on Earth. It needs a lot of work, imho, and may never be for me, but I did enjoy the beginning story. Just his mom, while Joseph just stood there. I also noticed he did not talk to Joseph. :) Up to chapter 4 or so, it was a pleasant exploration of what it meant to be Jesus. Beautiful images to go with the story, like a movie-book. There was no experience of playing as Jesus at this point that involved the child Jesus. Who better to blame than someone bad? I also believe mankind has gotten his hands on too many things, and man's interpretation of his experiences can be misunderstood) I feel we want someone to blame, so we blame someone. We breath in things all day long, from soil to gases, to fuels, etc. I believe we are susceptible to the environment already, as soft tissue organisms. (Personal belief: I don't believe Satan is the creator of cancer, and other illnesses. This seems to be the written word, but elaborated and exaggerated, imho (in my humble opinion). I feel the healing and the fighting Satan is also elaborated on. It was supposed to be Jesus being threatened by Satan, but it felt elaborated upon, and exaggerated for entertainment purposes. Each varies a bit with interpretation.īut when I reached Chapter 4, it began to feel like a mix between Nightmare on Elm Street voice of Freddy, and mixed with Michael Jackson's Thriller song's ending. I'm not sure of the specific religion behind this story. The version of the bible read in the game, I'm not sure, but I know it's not King James Version 2nd Edition. It starts off telling the stories shared in the bible between the churches. The story mode, it is a pleasant beginning. I think it needs some work to make it more acceptable to more of Christ's followers. It breaks my heart to not feel the desire to play on with such a positive influencing game, but I just can't support it at this point. I think some things in the bible are meant to be literal, and some are not. In My Opinion, the Bible is open to interpretation, and each person sees things differently. Yes to first 4 chapters or so, no to the part around chapter 4, IDK to the rest of it. Warning: Some Spoilers (grabbing 3 screenshots, brb)
